Let me preface this by saying this will probably sound more like endorsement for a party/club .. but it's not I just want to share a positive experience and hope it helps other find the same or better.
Now my last entry complained about vanilla clubs and mindless party goers. However I haven't given up hope. I spend way less time in clubs and have been working alot lately.
So I need to unwind a bit. A swinger couple (mature but very vanilla in most sense) want to check out the Fetish Factory's Monthly Fetish Ball Party. I have to admit i have want to as well for quite sometime..but never had date or the time off. However last minute things seem to align and i was going with them. Cool I go as party of 3some to avoid the dreaded single guy stigma, but can break away and explore a bit.
So the flyer warns of strict fetish dress code. So I was bit worried as my wardrobe doesn't have much fetish wears. I went for the Ultra Dressy look.. it worked...I looked kinda like Chocolate Red Satin Vampire from the Victorian age. However once we go there and it started to fill up i realized there is no such thing as strict fetish dress code. I saw all kinda of wear ... a lot very close to vanilla mall clothes as you can get.
That being said that is about only link the vanilla club world as it got. Now I'm an entertainer and pretty comfy in night club settings. I use to being kinda tall enough to see over most of the crowd and get a good read on it..... Throw all of that out the window here. But i was great to be thrown for a loop. I couldn't prejudge or package anyone up into a little preconceived category. No one fit the mold..matter fact they all broke out the mold... threw it on the ground..and then spanked it for trying to hold them back!
Total strangers would come up and introduce themselves. I saw fetishes of all walks of life young & old partying on the same dancefloor. It was awesome time ..to be in club of likeminded fetish happy people..just enjoying life. I didn't feel like the odd guy out...and if i caught someone staring at me... sure enough a few moments later they would introduce themselves and express how i caught there eye for one reason or another.
It was great time ... the kinda time most of the vanilla club goers are looking for but never find. No Egos ... just kink unleashed and playful.

I will make attempt to go again ... Maybe over the summer when work is less likely to conflict.
I wrote this journal entry because... I have never really felt at place at Munches or Fetish Conferences...but this party did it for me... So it renewed my spirit and hope all that read this find there place as well. Try something new now & then it might surprise you too in a good way.
