Lighthearted idealist and enthusiast of adventures. I'm the love that you've looked for, write to me and escape. If I were writing a one-line (printed), personal ad in the 70s, that's what it would be. Now you know.
If you don't like long profiles, or piña coladas - stop here. Hit the back button. No, really - it's for the best. Some fast facts - I am a service-oriented sub, looking for conversation, chemistry & beyond, in my photos (and willing to prove it), single - no marriage, no divorce, no children - no drama, a professional, and monogamous. I can spot a fake profile at 100 paces, to ferret out plagiarised images I will Google image search with impunity; I use the 'hide' button oft, and, typically, with reckless abandon. If you have, or have had an empty/one-line profile, you will have been hidden; and as with hearing hoofbeats - I think 'horse', rather than 'zebra' - I think exploitation, rather than submission, when anyone mentions 'findom' et al. If that was to become a dimension of my submission, it surely wouldn't be at the very start of an interaction. Call me conservative (small 'c', folks), but I like to get a good view of the hoof bearer before nailing the outlook of my financial well-being to them; but assuming mutual consent, each to their own kinks and pursuit of happiness, I say! Audience suitably narrowed - and that is indeed what a profile should do, namely give you an opportunity to assess whether the cut of my jib is to your satisfaction or not - let's have a regular conversation. Old fashioned, but profile prose only tell you so much. Without further ado, here's the remainder of mine. I read another profile, a Domme's, but alas too far away, that summed up what I am looking for: vanilla on the outside - from an outsiders perspective looking in, no one any the the wiser as to how our world really works. On the inside, a FLR, with the alpha and omega of me, all for you. Thence to CS - a fools errand, perhaps - but we have but one life, and to live without trying, is to have never lived at all. So here we are. A question that arose in a platonic interaction - yes, these are welcome - got me thinking - what does submission truly mean to me?
The adoration of, and trust in, someone deeply respected.
A respect grounded in reciprocity, and built on a singular and compelling rapport.
A uniquely-manifested part of life - all else defined with vibrancy, drive, and vigour.
Straight of back to any other, to bend the knee to only one, and to look all others in the eye, from a starting point of equal and peer.
From whence is the special, the momentous, and the true value of an act, born.
Not from a willingness to do something, but from the qualification applied in searching for the right partner in the dance.
That is the making of meaning.
To find certainty in the 'who', the one, at the expense of rampant obsession, and fleeting need, of the 'what', the act.
And in a significance of act, thus enriched beyond all measure, we find the truly special and profound - with our counterpart, and partner, in the dance.
For we are truly meant to dance, steps cast into irrelevance.
And dance we shall. Connections should be multidimensional, so here's some more to help categorise me as the wheat or the chaff: On to some quasi-science - Jung - INTP (this might be my INTP love of theories and frameworks - or circular logic - but I felt this personality deor truly resonate with how my mind machine works).

The abridged profile - I can do brevity when the occasion calls for it, and it takes the of me in three fast facts, cubed:
1. Active pursuits: running (5k), swimming, roller skating. (Yes, the kind the 80s loved.)

2. How do I spend a typical SUNDAY (in the summer ;( )? At a museum, out skating, reading. If you see me skating - I have black skates and pink wheels - come say 'Hi'. But you'll need to be quick. Like lightening.

3. Latest travels: Lon-NY, Iceland, Wales, South Africa...and Florida. Next mini travels: Canada, Mexico. Next big travels: Great Limpopo Transfrontier Park, Mozambique, and two other places. Indemnified against all claims of an absence of brevity, here's the rest of the rest:
Essence of career direction: a job which caters to spending the summer months in the northern hem., winter down south. Based on this, my ideal job would be 'Migratory Bird'. To this end, I am working on a part-time masters for the next couple of years. A migratory bird's qualification set is quite demanding.

On something of a live/work/travel world tour. In London these days. Itchy feet, or the right someone, could have me reaching for my passport - after all, it's a big world out there, why stay in such a tiny corner of it? A definite book lover, favourite this year - Of Human Bondage (it has messed with my dating keyword search to such an extent that reading the book became a poetic necessity) - something of a GoT addict, SF fan - CS message robots notwithstanding - loves Isaac Asimov books.

Favorite actor: Sir Patrick Stewart. (I was lucky enough to see him on the stage - complete with hair, the handsome devil! - alongside his partner in the Internet's biggest bromance, one Sir Ian McKellen). And if I am ever in a tricky situation, I'll ask myself: "what would season 3-7 Picard do?" Happy to chat if you like the above...not sure there is more to it than that.

And now to conclude in a flourish of storytelling finesse - it's time for us at the end, to go back to the beginning. I don't take myself too seriously, I am lighthearted, an idealist, and I like to smile at life. Similar smiley outlooks sought.

And finally, finally - we'll leave each other, at the very end, without punctuation. As I like to leave whatever happens next, wide open

Perfect? Hardly. In the eye of the beholder? Inexorably. To strive to be the apple of the beholder's eye? Tirelessly. And keep me as the apple of your eye. Hide me under the shadow of thy wings.

It has been said that if you're good at something, never do it for free. I would say, if you love something, never do it for anything else.

When there's nothing left to burn, you have to set yourself on fire.

The feeling of apartness from others comes to most with puberty, but it is not always developed to such a degree as to make the difference between the individual and his fellows noticeable to the individual. It is such as he, as little conscious of himself as the bee in the hive, who are lucky in life, for they have the best chance of happiness: their activities are shared by all, and their pleasures are only pleasures because they are enjoyed in common.

Discretion is the better part of achievement. To the modest, the humble, and the grounded - I salute you.

Sooner or later, fate puts us together with all the people, one by one, who show us what we could, or shouldn't let ourselves, become.

Ambition, stubbornness...we fall, we pick ourselves up again.

And we adapt.

The good things in life are of a flame.

Delicate, yet fierce.

Full of life-affirming radiance.

Warm to keep you safe when cold abounds.

The best things in life burn brightest of all.

Bright as to make all else seem dull and pale.

The past reflects eternally between two mirrors - the bright mirror of words and deeds; the dark, full of the unsaid, and the undone.

If I could have a second skin, I'd probably dress up in you.

What is passion? Passion is a steep hill and no breaks.
Passion is gravity, defying you to let slip its' worldly bonds.
Passion is time. An immutable dance, steps unknown.

Rational thought is to passion, as light to a black hole. Captive, forlorn, whilst being utterly indispensable in seeing the night from the day, the real from the illusory.
Passion is the means to take flight. Passion is the wing with which we soar.
Passion is the sun in our eyes, closing them to all else.
Such is passion.

for the best of times, for the worst
